Physiotherapy Videos for Postnatal Care

Pelvic Floor & Urinary Incontinence

In this video we will talk about your pelvic floor muscles and the different types of urinary incontinence that affects so many women in pregnancy and beyond.

Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises

In this video we will discuss how to do pelvic floor muscle exercises. These exercises are important in preventing and treating urinary incontinence, prolapse and for strengthening ‘our core’.

Returning to Exercise and DRAM

In this video we will talk about how to gently strengthen your abdominal or tummy muscles after pregnancy.

We also discuss diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominis, or “six-pack” muscles) and how to check for the separation of these tummy muscles.

Breastfeeding and Exercise

Moderate exercise while breastfeeding has many benefits. It can improve mum’s health and has a positive effect on emotional well- being. This feeling of well-being, improved energy and reduced stress levels can enhance maternal-infant relationship.
